Summary
We are seeking an Accountant to join our team at Alpine SnowGuards. In this role, you will support our financial operations by assisting with various accounting tasks that ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Responsibilities
- Monthly preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards to include reconciliation of various general ledger accounts, bank statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable accounts. Investigate & report any discrepancies
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate and report any discrepancies.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of processes to help reduce the length of the overall close process.
- Prepare bi-weekly check runs.
- Assist with processing accounts payable, accounts receivable
- Assist developing and analyzing budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Work with outside accountant with respect to quarterly tax planning, and year-end adjustments.
- Work with various management personnel to develop informative periodic financial reports, including sales reporting, inventory reporting and profit analysis by product line.
Requirements
- Minimum 4-yr bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
- Work experience in private sector in similar position, preferably 2 years.
- Excellent computer and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset
- Motivated, self-starter, problem-solver, ability to work independently
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and general accounting best practices.
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel; manipulation and use of spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning.

Pay: $56,500.00 - $65,000.00 per year
