MUST:
- 5-10 years in an accounting function
- 3 years of experience in medical stop loss billing
- Understanding of both AR and AP
- Ability to bill the health plans, perform collections, apply funds, and perform reconciliations within health plan billing
- Understands the general ledger and credits and debits
- Proficient with Excel and manipulating data in excel (need to be vlook ups and pivot tables and sum ifs) they are consolidating data
PLUS:
- Macros in excel
- Bachelors or associates degree in accounting or business
DAY TO DAY:
Our medical stop loss client is seeking a full time employee to join their team as a Billing/Accounting Specialist. This is a full time position with full benefits and bonus potential. Our client is looking for someone who can help them bill on a monthly basis for their health plans. You will be apart of the accounting team and work alongside 3 other billers who also specialize in health plan billing. This person will focus on sending out rebates that are attached to the money they bring in, calculating commissions they are bringing in, and will involve collaborating with the greater accounting team. You will report to the Billing Manager in this role. This position will focus on billing, collections, apply funds, and reconciling as well. You will bill eligibility files, manipulate data in Excel, and will develop invoices on a monthly and weekly basis.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
