How you make a difference
The Maintenance Technician Lead is a seasoned professional skilled in tackling complex maintenance tasks across plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical work, and HVAC systems. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of keeping the facility running smoothly, ensuring all systems and structures are safe, efficient, and reliable. Key Responsibilities
- Routine Inspections: Perform routine inspections of facility equipment and systems to identify maintenance needs.
- HVAC and Plumbing Maintenance: Service heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and plumbing systems, including troubleshooting and implementing necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Equipment and Safety: Maintain and service machinery, electrical fixtures, switches, outlets, and wiring to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Work Orders and Emergency Response: Complete assigned work orders, including preventive maintenance tasks, and respond to after-hour emergencies while on call.
- Documentation and Inventory Management: Document maintenance activities in work order systems, maintain inventory of tools and supplies, reorder as needed, and coordinate with other departments or external vendors to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Additional technical trade or college level courses or vocational degree, or associate degree in a relevant field.
Experience:
- Required: Three (3) years of specialized maintenance experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Required: Licensure or certification in trades such as plumbing, HVAC, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certificate for refrigerants, electrical work, carpentry, or related areas.
