Export Coordinator Job – International Freight Forwarding - Milwaukee, WI
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- All export documentation related to all components of the transportation function is completed from origin to destination.
- Plan the necessary data input and validation of key milestones (departure, arrival, customs clearance, PODs, and so on) in accordance with the customer's specified operational processes.
- Oversee and execute accurate client billing based on agreed-upon customer pricing, ensuring that expenses and earnings are maintained to a minimum.
- Create systems and processes for transferring commodities from local or offshore locations to warehouses, other storage facilities, or final destination locations for specific shippers.
- Use current regulatory expertise to categorize HTS/Schedule B numbers, file tariffs, handle hazardous materials, and meet the demands of any other government agency.
- Responds quickly to emails and rate queries, assisting with local sales efforts.
- Establish and manage the key processes to guarantee that all workers work in a clean, orderly, safe, and healthy environment.
- Maintain courteous, prompt, and efficient customer service.
- Manages actions along the order fulfilment and shipment cycle to ensure that built deadlines are met.
- Freight charges should be evaluated on a regular basis to identify cost reduction opportunities in the supply chain.

Requirements:
- 5 Years Export Operations Experience in Freight Forwarding Industry
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field with a commensurate combination of knowledge and teaching experience
- Proficient in Freight Forwarding software (Cargowise 1, SAP, AS400)
- Understanding of Microsoft Excel and database functions, as well as competence with them.
- Mindset that is outgoing and forward-thinking, with the capacity to decode problems quickly.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations at the state, federal, and international levels as they pertain to the core services supplied (i.e., customs, security, other import and export government agencies)
- This is a direct-hire, full-time, permanent position.
Salary : $50,000 - $62,000
