Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and enjoy the challenge of international logistics? We’re looking for an enthusiastic, proactive Export Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll be a go-to person for managing export orders, shipments, and inquiries, working closely with internal teams to provide “Knock your Sock off Customer Service” to our international customers. You’ll ensure smooth communication and coordination across departments and be a key player in Hatco’s global operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage all aspects of export orders and shipments, including creating quotes, proforma invoices, and export documentation.
  • Obtain and negotiate ocean and air freight quotes, manage freight rates with forwarders and customs agents, and ensure timely shipment scheduling.
  • Provide customers with guidance on the correct equipment and processes for their needs.
  • Assist with foreign warehouse inventory tracking and management.
  • Offer support for special projects and act as backup for the Customer Service and International Sales teams.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM and ensure all data is up-to-date.
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Build strong relationships with all levels within the company, ensuring seamless communication across teams.
  • Assist with ad-hoc department projects and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word) and CRM systems
  • Strong proficiency in Excel highly preferred
  • Strong customer focus, with a team-oriented mindset and a passion for process improvement.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and creative, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with multicultural teams and international customers.
  • EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • Associate’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of customer service or account management
  • Bilingual candidates (Spanish, French, or other languages) are a plus.
