Job Title : Senior Product Manager
Job Summary : Alsym Energy is looking for a self-driven and motivated leader with a passion in the field of energy storage. In this position, the candidate will play a central role in defining the Alsym Energy battery product for use within Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) solutions for wide ranging stationary storage applications including grid storage, data centers, microgrids, and C&I applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining product requirements internally, articulating technical specifications, enumerating how to effectively leverage Alsym’s batteries for specific end use cases, and supporting commercialization activities. This dynamic role includes cross-functional responsibilities that require regular engagement with Alsym leadership, engineering, manufacturing, commercial teams, and a variety of external stakeholders.

Key Qualifications :
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in technical product management or systems engineering in the energy storage industry, working on rack and container design and engineering for grid-storage, microgrid and / or other applications.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles, power systems, battery technologies, and energy storage systems.
- Proven ability to apply systems engineering principles and practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Experience with battery management systems (BMS) and power conversion systems (PCS).
- Experience with techno-economic energy modeling and simulation software will be a plus.
- Knowledge of utility grid interconnection standards, such as UL / IEEE standards
- Comprehensive knowledge on latest standards on design, testing and validations like IEC 62933, UL 9540A, NFPA 855, UL 1973, IEC 62619 etc.
- Understand AC-coupled and DC-coupled Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Proven record of working alongside internal engineering teams to develop products for the stationary storage sector.
- Experience leading external engagements, ranging from leading an external services provider (ex. engineering firm) to serving as a strategic customer key point-of-contact.
