THE ORGANIZATION
Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California and for 50 years has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. ACRC employs approximately 700 people working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.
COMPENSATION
The below is dependent upon experience and education.
- $96.84 - $112.10/hr.
The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors including skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY
ACRC is seeking a part-time Physician II/Medical Consultant in its Sacramento office to provide educational and clinical support for Regional Center staff and managers through participation in individual and multidisciplinary clinical consultations, internal committees, hospital care conferences, educational presentations, intensive record reviews and various forms of medical appraisals. Primary objective includes to process applicants eligibility determinations and assessments.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), Residency Training, and Board Certification (and when needed, periodic re-certification) in a Medical Specialty (Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Practice, Psychiatry, Physical Medicine, Geriatrics, and/or Rehabilitation). Adult Medicine and Mental Health experience is strongly preferred. Additionally, applicants must possess at least five years experience as a licensed medical doctor and three years experience caring for or working with individuals who have a developmental disability. Must include Regional Center experience involving eligibility determinations and experience in direct oversight of Regional Center professionals involved in applicant assessments. Finally, applicants must have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills, strong time management and organization skills, a valid Driver License, and current automobile liability insurance.
