What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Warehouse Specialist position at Alta Equipment Group?
Our Construction Equipment Group is seeking a full-time Parts Warehouse Specialist for our Fort Myers, FL location. Parts Specialists should have a basic mechanical understanding and the ability to identify by sight, and by name, the parts of an industry related piece of equipment. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:
Responsible for various aspects of inventory control
Ensure customer satisfaction
Perform cycle counts weekly
Maintain department order and cleanliness
Performs other duties as assigned
Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
2-4 years of previous parts supervisory experience is preferred
Excellent communication skills
Professionalism
Computer skills preferred- Epicor/Silk Systems, Vendor web portals, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills - Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; Occasionally will climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Lift and/or Move Functions: Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 100 plus pounds
Work Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
