Job Summary:
The Parts Warehouse at Dixie Buick GMC is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida. As a vital member of our Parts department, the Parts Warehouse employee will be responsible for receiving, verifying, storing, and distributing parts and supplies to our service and sales departments. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $15 to $20 per hour, depending on experience. Employees are paid weekly and eligible for medical, dental, 401K and vision insurance, as well as vacation and sick leave. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of parts and supplies, verifying accuracy and comparing to purchase orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records using computer systems
- Identify and label parts and supplies and store them in designated locations
- Fill orders and requests for parts and supplies from service and sales departments
- Conduct physical inventory counts and assist with ordering and restocking parts as needed
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Assist with shipping and receiving of parts and supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in warehouse operations and inventory management preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with automotive parts is a plus
- Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
- Proficiency in computer systems and software, including inventory management software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle and record inventory
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
