Warehouse Supervisor

Typical Hours: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday – Friday (must have the flexibility to work the occasional Saturday)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide warehouse staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Foster a positive work environment promoting teamwork and high morale.
- Conduct quarterly conversations and provide constructive feedback.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
- Implement and enforce SOPs for accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain quality control processes for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Address discrepancies related to product quality or order fulfillment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs promptly.
- Collaborate with customer service for accurate communication of order status and inventory levels.
- Meet/exceed warehouse KPIs and team goals.
- Ensure safe use of warehouse equipment, handle and document work-related accidents.
- Maintain good housekeeping throughout the facility.
- Enforce a safety culture, including operational and food safety compliance.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Forklift certified.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operational procedures
- Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, employee motivation, task delegation, and conflict management.
- Effective written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong project management skills, including decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, handle interruptions.
- In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices.
- Prior experience using warehouse management software (WMS) and other computer applications.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources processes, including personnel evaluations and coaching.
Job Requirements:
- All candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management/supervision in a 3PL environment.
- Some experience on sit down forklift preferred.
- Ability to repetitively lift, push and pull 50 pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and reach.
- Must have the ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.

Alta Warehousing & Logistics requires all applicants to undergo a background verification process prior to commencing employment with the company. Employment with Alta is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a pre-employment background check which includes drug screening.
