Alta Mira is a non-profit organization that has been supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual delays or disabilities, and their families, since 1985. We provide services to all age groups. We support over 800 children annually in our Early Intervention Program and 1500 adults in our Family Support Services. EXPERIENCE:
- Must have at least five years of experience with user support, software, and hardware.
- Must have at least five years of experience supporting Microsoft and TCP/IP networks.
- Must understand different network protocols. Experience with DHCP, DNS, email and VPN
connectivity.
- Five years’ experience supporting the most current versions of Microsoft Windows and
- Microsoft Office products and cloud services such as Azure, InTune and Active Directory.
- Experience managing an IT department and staff while staying on budget.
- Experience with conversion and implementation of vertical market software.
- Current New Mexico driver’s license, or ability to arrange transportation to meet
- agency needs as assigned. Ability to drive and maintain clean driving record.
- Current automobile liability insurance.

- Must be able to communicate effectively with all staff.
- Must be able to think and write logically.
- Must be able to travel to Alta Mira’s locations to service computers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation at an acceptable level.
- Provide oversight of information, data and technology systems including phone systems, security systems and computer systems.
- Develop and maintain information technology policies, procedures and systems to support the agency’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
- Function as the Network Administrator for the agency’s computer network; maintaining a current knowledge of all infrastructure, measuring its effectiveness as well as proposing enhancements.
- Identify need for upgrades, configure new systems and software applications to meet the agency’s needs.
- Provide support for all technological assets and infrastructure.
- Evaluate adequacy and improve use of existing software applications and technology solutions.
- Ensure the availability and operability of mission critical functions, applications and services across the agency.
- Serve as project manager/coordinator for the implementation of all new IT Systems.
- Maintain positive relationships with IT vendors, ensuring their accountability and effectiveness, and their alignment with organizational goals.
- Develops solutions and systems along with staff to insure cost-effectiveness, serviceability and relevance.
- Helps select, develop, motivate and manage qualified staff to effectively carry out department functions and to assist in support of agency infrastructure and solutions.
- Adhere to the department’s expense budget and follow within budgetary guidelines to contribute to the cost-effective operation of the agency.
- Maintain relevant data backups and data protection solutions.
- Completes employee’s performance evaluations timely.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
