What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Information Technology position at Alta Vista Regional Hospital?
General Duties
1. Manage the day to day operations; directs, manages and supervises daily administrative operations, related
projects and data management operations to ensure consistent and efficient availability of information and data
sources
2. Develops, implements and maintains standards, systems and processes to ensure excellence, ongoing data
integrity
3. Develops, implements, evaluates, and revises departmental policies and procedures which support and reflect the
policies of the hospital and outside regulatory agencies.
4. Manages budget, budget variances, and control of overall utilization of financial resources.
5. Analyze and recommend systems for data automation.
6. Provide long range planning for data automation.
7. Investigates and recommends strategic technology solutions to strengthen the hospital’s ability to provide quality
health care services
8. Promote hospital policies and procedures and “team” concept within the IS department.
9. Adheres to Corporate, hospital, and TJC requirements for the management of information systems.
