Advocacy Strategy Development : Supports developing and implementing comprehensive advocacy strategies to support the company's policy goals and initiatives at local, state, and federal levels.
Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory agencies, industry associations, and community organizations to advance the company's advocacy efforts.
Policy Analysis : Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments impacting the natural gas industry. Provide timely updates and recommendations to senior management.
Public Relations : Work closely with the communications team to craft and deliver messages that highlight the benefits of natural gas, including economic growth, energy security, and environmental sustainability.
Grassroots Campaigns : Organize and lead grassroots advocacy campaigns to mobilize support from community members, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
Event Coordination : Plan and participate in industry events, public hearings, and meetings with policymakers to represent the company's interests and advocate for favorable outcomes.
Reporting and Documentation : Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders, outlining advocacy activities and outcomes.
Collaboration : Work cross-functionally with other departments, including legal, regulatory, and operations teams, to ensure alignment of advocacy efforts with overall business objectives.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Political Science, Communications or a related field is preferred
3 Years in advocacy, government relations, or public affairs, preferably
within the energy sector required
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel as needed.
We offer a competitive salary range of $72,000 to $99,375 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
