What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Global Financial Services position at Altair Global Services, LLC?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manages teams on the day-to-day in all aspects ensuring successful execution of services to Altair’s clients.
- Maintains current knowledge regarding industry specific tax requirements and the resulting impacts to domestic and global compensation tax/payroll reporting.
- Represents and supports strategic relationship management of Altair’s clients in coordination with Client Services.
- Focuses on business process automation, integration of system protocol and participates on new process design and implementation.
- Manages the identification of root causes of client-level process inefficiencies, process gaps or breaks, as well as operational risks and leads the team in integrating industry best practice.
- Ensures the team produces quality deliverables on-time and within client scope.
- Supports the develops and maintains team training documentation including effective delivery and monitoring.
- Manages and leads discussions with tax providers and clients and able to provide explanations on global reporting usage and delivery.
- Assists in-house team members in meeting their client deliverables, service expectations, business development, client transitions and department objectives.
- Identifies and communicates ideas to make processes more efficient.
- Generates monthly reporting and auditing as requested by the Vice President
- Manages all phases of Altair’s year-end processes for each client assigned, delegating responsibilities as needed to Team Leads, Managers and Analysts/Specialists.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, training and education required
TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
- 5 – 7 years of payroll and/or tax experience and client-facing service experience
- 3 – 5 years managerial experience
- Prior experience in global compensation practices, including technical strength in all aspects of comp accumulation, shadow payroll, and hypothetical tax
- Solid managerial skills to lead a team of technical/analytical professionals
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboratively working with internal and external contacts at all levels
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills required
- Highly conscious of clients’ needs and deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and organize workflow to meet deadlines and prioritize work
The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the candidate’s location of residence.
WORK/PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Office setting and/or home office work environment. Team member must be able to operate standard office equipment. A majority of work time is spent seated and working at a computer and on the phone.
