Chassis Software Validation Engineer
Our client in Troy, MI is looking for a Chassis Software Validation Engineer. This is a contract position.
The Chassis Software Validation Engineer will execute component and subsystem software testing for the vehicle Chassis, electrical and software architectures. The candidate will work closely with the Software Team, Electrical Team, and Chassis Team to validate the chassis systems software on different test properties. The validation engineer will generate test cases and analyze results to ensure program requirements are met. Develop Diagnostic Validation test cases for the subsystem and component level for each module (ECU’s) across vehicle architecture.
- Develop software validation test cases for the Chassis system (ESC, iBooster, EPS) and LV components.
- Work closely with Software, Electrical, and Chassis teams on the integration of multiple control units on the test properties.
- Collaborate with Software, Electrical, and Chassis teams to develop DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, and test properties validation plans.
- Write detailed test specifications and test scripts based on system and component requirements. Generate a testing plan that achieves targets at various milestones.
- Analyze and visualize large data sets from various data sources to understand the use cases and validation criteria.
- Post-processing and analysis of experimental data to validate and inform models.
- Technical communication of analysis results and tradeoffs.
- Root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and escalation of risks to keep software development process on track.
- Identify opportunities for automation. Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency.
- Participate in Agile Software development processes.
