Job Summary:
We are seeking an HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources, payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, and performance management. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and productive work environment, ensuring that our employees feel valued and equipped to succeed. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven company and enjoys managing a wide range of HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration & Compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies to align with company goals and legal requirements.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and employment tax compliance.
Maintain employee records, oversee payroll processing, and manage benefits administration.
Handle workers' compensation, safety compliance, and OSHA reporting.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Manage the full recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent.
Work with department heads to identify staffing needs in sales, installation, customer service, and administration.
Oversee onboarding to ensure new employees integrate successfully into Altamira Ltd.’s team and culture.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Serve as a trusted advisor for employees and managers on HR-related issues.
Foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with our mission of improving lives through accessibility.
Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
Address employee concerns, mediate disputes, and implement effective conflict resolution strategies.
Performance Management & Training
Implement and oversee performance evaluation processes, ensuring fair and constructive feedback.
Provide coaching and support to managers on employee development and performance improvement.
Identify training needs and coordinate skill-building programs for employees, especially those in technical installation and customer service roles.
Compensation & Benefits
Oversee payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Evaluate and recommend compensation structures that align with industry standards.
Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers, assisting with inquiries and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3 years of HR experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized company.
Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance regulations.
Experience in an industry related to home services, construction, healthcare, or accessibility is a plus.
Proficiency in HR software and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, BambooHR).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
