At Altamira Material Solutions, we are looking for a Production Supervisor to lead our Machine Shop team at our North Houston Location. The ideal candidate understands what it takes to efficiently manage day-to-day operations, drive continuous improvement, and has a passion to develop their team. This role requires someone who is just as comfortable working alongside their team on the shop floor as they are analyzing KPIs and production metrics to drive performance.

What You’ll Do :
Actively supervise and work alongside your team to meet production goals and quality standards.
Track and analyze KPIs, production data, and efficiency metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and leadership to production team
Communicate production schedules, priorities, and expectations across shifts.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, quality concerns, and workflow inefficiencies.
Ensure compliance with s afety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Promote a Lean Manufacturing mindset, utilizing 5S, root cause analysis, and corrective action strategies.
What We’re Looking For :
Hands-on leadership experience – 3 years supervising is required. Machine Shop experience is STRONGLY preferred.
Above average communication skills
Strong understanding of KPI tracking, production reporting, and performance management.
Proven ability to supervise a shop floor, troubleshoot issues, and drive real-time solutions.
Expertise in machining processes, quality control, and process improvement methodologies.
Comfortable working with ERP system
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and implement strategic improvement
Above average computer and Excel skills required
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred; or a combination of training and 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. Must have HS Diploma or GED
This position must meet Export Control Compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22.C.F.R. is required
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to manage cross-functional collaboration between Machine Shop, Quality, and Engineering teams.
A track record of developing and mentoring employees to enhance skills and performance.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements :
Hands-on role in a manufacturing environment, requiring active engagement with the team on the shop floor.
Safety-first mindset—protective eyewear and safety shoes required in production areas.
