Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
• Provides support in functional areas of a Human Resources department, which may include recruitment and employment, associate records, associate and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organizational development, and/or payroll and training
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (examples of duties performed)
• Conducts reference or background checks on job applicants
• Contacts job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications
• Coordinates with outside staffing agencies to secure temporary associates, based on departmental needs
• Onboards associates and processes hiring-related paperwork, including responsibility for E-verify proper I-9 verification
• Informs job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotional opportunities
• Maintains and updates human resources documents, such as organizational charts, associate handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms
• Develops knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); Assists in ensuring company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements
• May assist in interpreting and explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
• May perform searches for qualified job candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, social media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, or associate referrals
• Prepares or maintains employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software; Processes paperwork for new associates and enter associate information into the payroll system; Conducts verifications of employment
• May be responsible for conducting exit interviews and ensuring necessary employment termination paperwork is completed
• Reviews and evaluates applicant qualifications or eligibility for specified licensing, according to established guidelines and designated licensing codes; Reviews employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements
• May provide switchboard relief
• Compiles associate time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records
• Computes wages and deductions, and enter data into computers; Keep track of leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for associates
• Distributes badge and Kronos time cards; may perform uniform administration
• All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and no experience or HS plus 4 years of applicable HR experience
• Excellent computer skills required; Prefer Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and/or Kronos experience
FINANCIAL BUDGETING, CAPITAL, AND/OR MANPOWER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reviewing HR function invoices for accuracy and management approval

Salary : $53,400 - $67,600
