Job Description :
- The Robotic Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining the robot equipment design and applications standards for Stellantis VPE CARE , as well as lead projects to optimize machine operation.
- Additionally, the scope of this group will span the core functions of Vehicle Process Engineering in Body Shops and General Assembly. The Robotic Specialist is responsible for conducting regular team meetings to review progress and to identify potential obstacles. The Specialist will monitor projects to meet their technical and business objectives and develop advanced training and standard processes.
- The Robotic Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of Vehicle Process Engineering standards and specifications focused on:
- Research
- Design
- Develop
- Testing robotic applications
- The Robot Specialist will support production as a technical expert in Robotics Systems:
- Software and hardware floor revisions to CoC standards
- Robotic applications in BIW, General Assembly, and Paint
- Technical innovation projects through solution testing and task validation
- Specification documentation through EWOs, MPIs, Kaizens and FIS reports
- Review changes to CoC Standards and documentation through EWOs, MPIs and Kaizens
- Project Management
- Responsible for project timing and goals
- Provide direction to resources
- Monitor projects
- Report status of projects during regular team meetings
- Coordinate with others to overcome
- Support Plants during down time events
- System Mater Expert (SME) for robots
- Support for all Robotic equipment found within the plant environment
- Liaison between ME and Plant employees
- Bachelor's degree in Robotic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Process Engineering or other relevant technology degree or HSD with 5 years in a similar discipline
- 5 years of experience with industrial robotics applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office systems
- Background leading robotic technologies; (e.g. First Robotics Program)
- PLC Programming knowledge
- Problem solving skills specific to robot simulations, peripheral interfacing and applications engineering
- Fanuc, Comau and Cobot programming experience
- Ability to provide benchmark data (compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing and verifying information or data)
- Microsoft Office experience (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Access, Outlook, SQL)
- Must be self-directed and motivated to implement change within the direction and scope of Stellantis
- Group Advanced Manufacturing Senior Management
- Innovative thinker with excellent organizational and project management skills
- Excellent team leadership skills
