Designing and developing all test scripts outlined in the DVP&R, managing multiple versions and variants of scripts while ensuring traceability to requirements, and performing initial root cause analysis to identify and address issues effectively. Ensures HIL test properties / test scripts properly validate the appropriate functions. Ensures all test properties are the proper configuration for valid test results. Improves testing coverage by developing new tests as appropriate to enhance coverage.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited University.
  • Experience in powertrain software development or a highly related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge in Programming Languages, specifically C#, C , Python, and JavaScript.
  • Hardware background (ability to read / understand ECU schematic, identify HW-SW integration issues).
  • Working experience with ControlDesk and AutomationDesk.
  • Familiarity with On-Board Diagnostics in passenger automobiles.
  • Experience with ETAS, INCA, CANoe, CANAnalyser.
  • Understanding of Electrified Powertrain subsystems.
  • Understanding of internal combustion engines and / or vehicle subsystems.
  • Experience with Model-Based development using Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow for embedded control systems.
  • Embedded C / C software experience in Real-Time Operating System environments.
  • Experience in Matlab / Simulink / Target Link / Embedded Coder (MBD).
  • Experience implementing Embedded Real-Time Controls and Software solutions.
  • Established strength in driving collaboration and changes, able to work across challenges and boundaries to realize positive outcomes.
  • Worked within an Agile team framework.
  • Familiarity with microprocessor-based controls and development tools (emulators, debuggers, etc.).
  • Strong ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative, automated solutions.
  • Capable of troubleshooting and optimizing automation systems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to assess risks and implement preventive measures to ensure system reliability.
  • Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment (engineers, developers, and technicians).
  • Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in the end-to-end process of launching new tools or automation systems, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
  • Ability to identify and resolve challenges during the launch process while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Knowledge of validation and verification processes for ensuring new tools meet performance and compliance standards.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams during the introduction of new technologies or workflows.
