Job Title: Financial Analyst - Pricing & Forecasting

Basic Job Functions:

Altenloh, Brinck & Co. US, Inc. manufactures and distributes engineered fasteners under the SPAX® brand for the construction market, TRUFAST® for the commercial roofing industry and exterior building envelopes and facades. The Financial Analyst - Pricing & Forecasting will provide analysis of revenue, market share, and competitor activity to develop optimal pricing for channels and market segments aligned with product and sales strategy. This position is integral in ensuring SPAX and TRUFAST are focused on improvement and growth in the most beneficial areas, which includes sales forecasting and new products. Quarterly sales forecasting for all brands and products will be developed and owned within this position, working with sales leaders to ensure accuracy. This role will be responsible for supporting the sales team by analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to drive business growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

Pricing

  • Identifies and monitors pricing of customers and competitors across all channels to identify changes in the industry that may affect sales.
  • Work with many team members and disciplines to ensure alignment with, and understanding of, business strategies.
  • Evaluate pricing structure and make recommendations to improve competitiveness in the market.
  • Establish and maintain channel pricing protocols and procedures.
  • Assess and determine corrective actions related to brand and customer mix of products and pricing.
  • Communicate or upload price list changes to customer databases.
  • Quote new products, customer programs, and pricing deviation requests.

Forecasting

  • Oversee the quarterly sales forecasting process for ABC US, including annual sales budget.
  • Work with sales leaders to develop accurate sales forecasts for all brands/products/channels.
  • Ensure all pricing, customer, and product offering changes are accounted for throughout the sales forecasting process.
  • Compare customer forecasts to internal sales forecasts to identify gaps. Communicate with sales leaders to understand and reconcile any inconsistencies.
  • Coordinate with supply chain to ensure new product launches, discontinuations, and significant changes are planned and understood to ensure successful execution.

Analysis

  • Analyze sales performance and trends among products, customers, and channels to provide actionable items to increase sales, customer satisfaction, and margin.
  • Work with BI team to build and maintain tools that sales teams can use to quickly identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas of concern.
  • Support product line reviews and set enhancements with data.
  • Evaluate and track the performance of sales programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Support customer inventory management by analyzing stock levels and product demand.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for special projects and requests as needed.
  • Analyze actual sales vs. historical customer and internal forecasts to improve accuracy in the future.
  • Identify margin issues to review with sales, production and/or procurement teams.

Requirements


Experience:

  • 5 years of hands-on analytical experience
  • Experience working with forecasting and analytic tools, including large data sets.
  • Building materials experience is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required

  • Must be proficient in spreadsheet application, Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools
