Job Description:
We are seeking a Resident Engineer to support the successful execution of programs with our clients. This role acts as a key liaison between the customer and internal engineering/plant teams to ensure design integrity, issue resolution, and overall program success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate engineering programs with clients.
- Co-facilitate subsystem/component Product Development Teams (PDT).
- Participate in and lead design and peer reviews.
- Complete Component Technical Specifications as required by the eSOW.
- Initiate and manage change requests when appropriate.
- Liaise between customer and plant engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues using logs, CAN traces (Canoe/CANalyzer), STZ box, Epiphan, etc.
- Conduct root cause analysis and incorporate product/process design best practices.
- Execute test plans defined by the larger engineering team.
- Update and manage JIRA tickets.
- Release Concerns and Alerts in WERS; manage Calibration files in IVS.
- Support assembly plant and Tier 1 build events.
- Perform on-site vehicle updates with latest hardware/software.
- Enter and validate data in Vehicle Incident Non-Conformance Record system.
- Assist in testing and validation of park assist, radar, and PEPS systems.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with OEM/Tier 1 engineering teams
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, CAN communication, and automotive diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Canoe, CANalyzer, STZ box, Epiphan.
- Familiarity with WERS, IVS, and JIRA is a strong asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to plant locations.
