JOB DESCRIPTION:
The PeriOp Systems Analyst is responsible for operational support of all aspects of the SIS (Surgical Information System) application. This individual is charged with handling / addressing various operational aspects of the SIS (Surgical Information System) as outlined in the Position Requirements section below. This resource will be part of a team supporting various United States time zones, in order to provide 24/7/365 support for the application and the community it serves.
The Analyst will utilize their PeriOp application expertise in the areas of workflow, process, system build and configuration, as well as end-user training / consultation.
Communication, presentation and the ability to comprehend requests are essential to the success of this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to be agile and address new and unique situations requiring immediate responses / solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with other areas and stakeholders (internal / external).
- Ability to think “Out of the Box” in order to provided needed services and solutions.
- Support new emerging technologies and solutions that will offer unparalleled care to patients within our hospital network.
- Instrumental in the tracking and completing of all requests received which are aligned to SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) to ensure that we are meeting / exceeding our commitment to our customers.
- Some of those indicators are: Ticket Submissions through the Clarity Ticket System; Project related metrics and support provided for new technical and operational solutions; continued refinement of operational processes and procedures in order to meet the needs of an ever changing customer base.
- Support Server Reboots and Maintenance Schedules (Off-Hours)
- Adding End Users to the Application (User Access)
- Address Ticket Submission (Incidents, Requests, etc.) with various Priority Levels (i.e. P1 through P4).
- Ability to utilize SIS Analytics and Reporting (read and modify) Crystal Reports and SQL.
- Manage the reboot of printers remotely.
- Provide additional operational support as the job function grows / expands.
- Work with users to understand and document business requirements. Assist in the translation of the business requirements into configurable system changes.
- Perform analysis activities and create/participate in the creation of the functional specification.
- Attend Design reviews and walkthroughs with stakeholders.
- Prepare necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure conformance to departmental / corporate / enterprise standards.
- Participate and execute unit and functionality testing. Work closely with testers on the preparation of test plans, test data and integrated unit testing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a team player, have client presence and the ability to work independently.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot, apply critical thinking and provide viable suggestions for problem resolution.
- Optional: Knowledge of Web front-end and back-end development (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL)
- Understanding of HL7, XML interface record processes and batch file transfer processes for communication between applications.
- PERIOP Software proficiency desired.
- Previous experience desired in one of the following:
- Surgical Scheduling/Billing – Hospital &/or Physician Practice
- Perioperative Surgical Department – Clinical &/or Management
- Crystal Reports, SQL scripting, database statements (DMLIDDL) desired
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Demonstrated ability of managing environments and releases for multiple environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work with various levels within an organization.
- Knowledge of SIS (Surgical Information Systems), McKesson (HSM and PHS).
- Knowledge of Healthcare industry would be beneficial.

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
