Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), the Director of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting will lead the Global Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting organization. This pivotal role is responsible for managing and ensuring the accuracy of technical accounting policies, external reporting & SEC filings, M&A accounting, and revenue recognition.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned expert with strong business acumen, a CPA credential, and a demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a global, multinational organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of SEC reporting, including the preparation and filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other regulatory filings.
- Establish and maintain technical accounting policies, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Provide expert guidance on complex accounting matters, including M&A, revenue recognition, and new accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Procurement, and Investor Relations, to support contract reviews, deal flow, and earnings release objectives.
- Partner with the Investor Relations team to align financial reporting with IR objectives.
- Engage with FP&A and our Sales and Marketing teams to consult on deals and structuring.
- Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) design and testing requirements.
- Support potential IPO and S-1 filing activities as needed.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing global team.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 15 years of relevant experience, including 5 years at a large public accounting firm.
- CPA certification.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting, SEC reporting, and GAAP compliance.
- Proven experience supporting public company earnings releases and SEC filings.
Preferred:
- Experience in the fabless semiconductor industry.
- Involvement in IPO or S-1 processes.
- Familiarity with enterprise revenue cycles and customer contract accounting.
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and ERP implementations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead M&A accounting and post-acquisition integration.
- Experience partnering with Legal and Procurement on contract review processes.
