We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Lead Information Architect and Documentation Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing and implementing efficient content management and information architecture strategies and to lead our Technical Content and Automation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with DITA-OT and XSLT and will be responsible for managing the technical writers' authoring and publishing pipeline on DITA CCMS. This role also involves creating custom plugins, enhancements, identifying and developing productivity tools, automation and organization metric dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee structuring, organizing and managing of the digital information to enhance content usability, accessibility and manage technical writers' authoring and publishing pipeline on DITA CCMS preferably Ixiasoft
- Create and maintain information architecture, taxonomy, metadata and structure content frameworks to support content reuse, consistency and accessibility
- Develop and maintain custom plugins and enhancements using DITA-OT and XSLT
- Work closely with cross functional teams and stakeholders to understand content needs and business requirements translating them into scalable IA solutions
- Identify and implement productivity tools and automation using Python, JavaScript, Web2Py and other relevant technologies
- Develop and implement content strategies that align with business goals
- Partner with UX/UI and developers to create seamless user experience
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
- Lead a team of content strategists, and software developers providing guidance and support to deliver to business goals
- Provide regular performance feedback and support professional development

Salary Range
$161.7k - $234.1k USD
Qualifications:
We are seeking someone with a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field) with 9 years of total experience, and experience in one or more of the following:
- Technical content management and leadership experience with a focus on DITA-OT and XSLT
- Ixiasoft CCMS, including creating custom plugins and enhancements
- Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, Web2Py, and other relevant technologies
- Information architecture, content strategy, and taxonomy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of generative AI is a plus
- Knowledge of FPGA technology is a plus
