Position Summary :
This position is responsible for validating physical inventory in the warehouse, identifying and reporting on variances and related trends, and coordinating with other departments to develop and maintain adequate inventory controls procedures.
The ideal candidate would be a motivated self-starter who is interested in ongoing process improvement and who will contribute meaningfully to related projects.
Responsibilities :
- Utilizes the warehouse management system to develop and implement a plan for comprehensive cycle counts and other audits
- Analyzes inventory variance data to identify trends and communicates findings to warehouse operations and corporate leadership.
- Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
- Manages assigned warehouse employee to ensure timely and accurate completion of inventory control tasks.
- Participates in cross-functional teams to complete relevant projects.
- Coordinates with other departments to properly record and document obsolescence, recalls and other inventory adjustments.
- Serves as the subject matter expert on inventory control processes and procedures, staying up to date on industry trends and established best practices.
- Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures.
- Perform counts and other duties in freezer and dry storage areas and be able to operate relevant equipment (EPJ, FL, HR). Necessary training will be provided.
- Contributes to team effort by performing additional duties as needed.
