Overview:
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for analyzing purchasing, warehousing, and logistics data to provide the procurement team members with recommendations on how to improve the supply chain through purchasing and reduce labor hours spent by electricians in the field.
Essential Functions:
1. Data Analysis and Reporting: 60%
- Collects and analyzes supply chain data to identify areas of improvement.
- Develops dynamic reporting using various analysis tools, such as Power BI and Excel.
- Uses advanced analytics skills and knowledge of multiple categories to provide credible, action-oriented analysis and recommendations to management.
- Maintains vendor scorecards to report to management.
- Develops and maintains dynamic price discrepancy reports to identify pricing trends.
- Creates and maintains relationships between ERP, Estimating, and Purchasing SQL databases.
- Connects various software platforms via APIs and establish relationships between the data.
- Uses Microsoft Power BI and PowerShell to generate views, tables, and queries to build both ad-hoc, and solution development requests such as reports and dashboards.
- Devises, coordinates, and conducts mass data cleansing initiatives for the purpose of purging and eliminating redundant information from databases.
- Provides spend reports to manufacturers to validate vendor rebates.
- Creates and maintains automated systems to standardize the submittal process.
- Creates data templates to allow processes to be repeatable for all divisions for dashboards and reporting.
- Develops and assists with tool tracking data/software to better manage tool inventory.
2. Process Improvement and Project Coordination: 25%
- Assists Job Site Logistics Coordinator with reporting and develops tools to map out processes for large projects.
- Coordinates and administers special procurement projects, as required.
- Assists in large contract purchase orders.
- Responsible for researching new technology and products that can improve processes.
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Training: 10%
- Meets with business users and stakeholders to determine reporting needs, creating processes for data collection and analysis where necessary.
- Responsible for coaching internal stakeholders on how to utilize dashboards and focus on continuous improvement to drive adoption.
4. Performs other duties as assigned. 5%
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Purchasing concentration, or relevant education and/or experience required.
- 2 year experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, and construction background required.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials required.
Skills/Abilitites:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Platforms (Power BI, PowerApps, Excel, Access, SharePoint, Teams).
- Advanced Knowledge in Data Analytics, SQL, and construction ERP software.
- Knowledgeable about M Language, R, Python, and DAX.
- Able to demonstrate accomplishments in handling diverse and complex sourcing transactions, negotiations, and contractual responsibility.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of legal terms and conditions.
- Able to maintain a working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, and accounting.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
