Join a dynamic and well-established company in a key role managing office operations and financial transactions. This offers you a  part-time to full-time   opportunity to contribute to administrative support, bookkeeping, and organizational efficiency.

Multiple opportunities for this role are available across our client companies in Northwestern Connecticut. Placements will be based on your skills, convenience, experience, and their specific needs.

Location :   Torrington, CT

Key Responsibilities :

Bookkeeping & Financial Management

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including processing payments and invoices.
  • Perform journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring tax filings and deposits are accurate and timely.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis.
  • Support financial audits and assist with 1099 preparation for vendors.

Administrative & Office Support

  • Maintain office records, databases, and documentation systems.
  • Assist with inventory management and vendor coordination, including purchase orders and invoice reconciliation.
  • Support HR functions such as employee records, attendance tracking, and compliance with personnel laws.
  • Handle Workers' Compensation and health insurance claims processing.
  • Policy & Process Improvement

  • Maintain and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Suggest enhancements to office systems and workflow efficiency.
  • Assist leadership with special projects and additional tasks as assigned.

    Experience / Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years of office management and bookkeeping experience,
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Minimum high school diploma required (AA Degree in Business Administration preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, and hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and crouch.

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
