This position requires the employee to work out in the community and within foster homes throughout the Bay Area. Thus, position requires employee to possess a valid CA driver’s license and valid automobile insurance with his/her name on the verification card as an insured driver on the policy at all times. Position requires daily access to a car in safe working order.

Responsibilities
- Completion and tracking pre-employment activities to ensure compliance with AFS onboarding practices
- Prepares new-employee files
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Conducts audits of employee files
- Generate HR reports and tracks employee compliance with AFS policies, program, city, state and federal laws
- Interpret and explain Agency policies and procedures as well as HR related laws, standards and regulations to both management and staff
- Manage and track AFS property and devices, including cell phones
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Provide support to HR Manager and HR Dept.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy practices
- Adhere to our attendance and punctuality policy
- Assume other duties as assigned by supervisor
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in Human Resources a plus
- Obtain and maintain government and agency required background clearances
- Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, auto insurance showing as an insured driver on the policy and vehicle registration
- Competency in MS Office tools and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
- Excellent oral and written communication and exceptional interpersonal skills
- Able to read and write fluently in English
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to multi-task and shift gears when priorities change
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals both through collaborative teamwork as well as self-directed autonomy
- Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills as well as high level of accuracy
- Possess a high level of integrity, honesty and strong work ethic
- Able to maintain a professional demeanor
- Able to interact with and communicate pertinent information, verbally and in writing, to co-workers as part of a cooperative team
- Possess and agree to continue to work on cultural competency as it relates to the diverse client population served
