CNC Machinist & Programmer

About the Company:

Our client in Southern York County is growing, and they're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist & Programmer to help on their production line.

Eden Tool Company engineers and creates high-precision plastic molds for a variety of industries including medical devices and automotive. With a large customer base across the US, Mexico, and South America, Eden Tool Company has been in business for over 20 years, and they are currently growing into new sectors of manufacturing.

Description:

Sets up and operates CNC machinery to fabricate parts.

Responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets blueprints
• Program, setup, and operate CNC machines to meet product specifications
• Monitor machine operation and control panel displays - compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.
• Modify cutting programs to account for problems encountered during operation and save modified programs.
• Stop machines to remove dull cutting tools or make other adjustments.
• Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
• Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets
• Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
• Attends scheduled meetings as needed and actively participates by providing meaningful input
• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

Qualifications:

• Must have excellent math and measurement skills (including fractions)
• Must be organized and have a willingness and ability to learn
• 1-2 years experience operating CNC equipment
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally (60%) and in writing (40%)
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Must have color vision.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Must be able to stand (20%) and sit (80%) throughout the day
• Must have ability to reach and grasp
