About the Role
As the Program Mission Director for the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in Sioux Falls, you’ll oversee operations, manage 24/7/365 staffing, and ensure our facilities provide a warm and supportive home-away-from-home for families with sick children. You’ll work closely with volunteers, social workers, and hospital staff to make sure our programs run smoothly and continue to provide essential services.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the daily operations of all RMH programs in Sioux Falls
- Lead and manage the Family Services Manager (FSM) staff, including scheduling and communication
- Foster a positive and compassionate environment for families, staff, and volunteers
- Work with volunteers to engage them effectively in RMH programs
- Ensure families receive proper support and address any concerns that arise
- Collaborate with social workers to process referrals and Medicaid reimbursements
- Monitor budgets, staff hours, and program operations
- Conduct inspections and oversee maintenance of RMH facilities
- Respond to emergencies, background check failures, and family concerns
- Maintain program records and report activity updates to leadership
What You Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in family/child development, human services, business, or a relevant field
- A high-energy, positive, can-do attitude with strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- A detail-oriented and creative approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work as part of a team while managing responsibilities independently
- Strong computer skills

- Experience in proposal writing and donor engagement
- Previous work in nonprofit program management
