Alternative Information Systems (AIS) has been a premier WNY IT service firm for 35 years, specializing in the SMB and the Public Sector markets. We are currently seeking experienced IT Support individuals to join our service team.
Details:
This is a full-time, onsite position in our downtown Buffalo office. Normal working hours are 8:30AM-5:00PM Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities:
· Remote and on-site support for our existing client base.
➢ Desktop support for Windows, platform.
➢ Chrome and MAC not essential but is a plus.
➢ Basic networking support and troubleshooting.
➢ Identify and escalate issues based on standard SLA’s.
➢ Effectively communicate with clients and co-workers.
➢ Capable of Multitasking on multiple projects and setting priorities
Required Experience:
·➢ Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining Windows based technologies.
➢ Managing and Supporting Office 365.
➢ Familiarity working with Active Directory and Group Policy.
➢ Knowledge of basic wired & wireless networking concepts.
➢ Knowledge of basic firewall functionality.
➢ Customer focused Personable Team player
➢ Self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision
➢ Ability to adjust to changing work demands and needs
➢ Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbally).
➢ Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
➢ Proficient with Windows OS (Win 7, 10, Server 2016)
➢ Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite
➢ Proficient with Smart Phone Technology (Apple, Droid, Windows)
➢ Proficient with Hardware Architecture Types ISA, VESA, PCI, PCI Express
➢ Proficient with Disk Imaging / Archival Software Technologies
➢ Knowledge of Memory Configurations, Video Requirement, Network Topography
➢ Knowledge of VoIP phone systems
➢ Ability to work off hours and weekends as needed for special projects
Desired Experience:
·➢ Managing Windows Domains and roles.
➢ Familiarity with PSA’s such as Datto/Autotask or ConnectWise
➢ Configuring and Maintaining VMware.
➢ Experience working with SANS.
➢ Experience working with the following technologies and vendors: Cisco, Fortinet, Veeam, and Trend Micro.Knowledge of Sonic wall firewall devices
➢ Familiar with DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
➢ Experience with VMWare, and virtualized environments
➢ Experience working with Servers and Windows Server Environments
