What are the responsibilities and job description for the DDA ResHab Technician position at Alternative Nursing Services?
Our mission is to provide support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities in order to achieve their desired level of independence and productivity. Provide one-on-one services for our clients in their homes and community. You will assist the client in achieving their goals including but not limited to budgeting, grocery shopping, cleaning, socializing in the community, and daily tasks of living.
We have a current need to fill a weekend position with 2 clients in the LC Valley. This position would consist of a 12-hour shift on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 8am and off by 8pm. You will be working in the client's home, attending to their needs and focusing on their personal goals. The pay for this position is $150/per day!. Qualifications:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
2. High school graduate, possess G.E.D. or actively seeking & obtained within one year
of hire.
3. Evidence of a clear criminal history with a completed criminal background check.
4. First Aid & CPR certification (by first date worked, to be completed in office)
5. Assistance with Medication Certification within 90 days of hire.
6. Ability to lift, push, and pull weight up to 50 lbs.
7. Ability to communicate, read and write in English.
8. Capacity to successfully complete additional training or certifications as mandated by state and licensing regulations
Responsibilities:
1. Provides participants at the direction of a service plan developed by the agency
program supervisor or a registered nurse.
2. Provides participants services in compliance with the certification or training that
supports one's knowledge.
3. Performs routine duties as related to a safe and comfortable environment.
4. Performs routine and therapeutic programs.
5. Provide medication reminders only or medication assistance only if trained in an
approved program nurse or as directed.
6. May assist the participants with personal ADL’s tasks.
7. May perform RN delegated functions within the scope of State Certification
and/or approved training.
8. Documents services on agency forms as indicated and submits records every as
directed to agency office.
9. Notifies the program supervisor or the nurse supervisor when there is a change in
the participant’s services or environment.
10. Ability to respond to emergencies without direct supervision.
11. Attends in-service training & mandatory monthly meetings as warranted/directed.
12. May perform other agency job functions as directed by agency supervisory staff.
