Job type: Full-time, Non-exempt
Schedule: Schedule after training period includes 1-2 evenings until 8pm, and/or 1 weekend shift - details to be discussed at interview.
Training: Alternatives provides thorough orientation and training for all new staff.
You can expect a one-week orientation, where you will learn all about Alternatives and be prepared for taking on your role.
This first week is 9am-5pm at our Alternatives Training Center.
Continual on-going training is provided to all our staff to keep them current on their roles, industry standards, and contractual compliance.

What skills are needed to succeed?
To succeed as a Case Manager, we require:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field. If you have at least 5 years in corrections, case management, or similar, this may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Ability to relate to residents in a firm, empathetic manner.
- Computer and word-processing skills. Must have demonstrated experience with documentation and record keeping.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass federal drug screening requirements.
About the Alpha Team:
The Alpha House Case Management team is run by an experienced Program Supervisor who has a passion for corrections, and recently completed a Master’s in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on corrections and rehabilitation. She has been with the Agency for over 10 years and oversees daily programming operations for our men’s pre-release program.
You will be joining a team of other Case Managers, an Employment Placement Specialist, and other stellar teams who are focused on cognitive behavioral change and making a difference in the community!

What will you do in this position?
If you are passionate about helping others and making an impact on your community, this would be the role for you! We are agents of change who work as part of a larger team devoted to helping residents succeed by using cognitive behavioral interventions to reduce recidivism and increase public safety.
Day-to-day you will meet with residents and our team to develop a program to help address individual needs.
You will have the opportunity to grow and learn, gain experience in corrections, facilitate groups, provide insight for development and implementation of new programs and services, and overall have a major impact on the lives of others.
Regular documentation, follow-up, and communication with team members is crucial to supporting residents of all programs.
