Position : Housekeeping Supervisor

Altez Vacations specializes in operating and promoting luxury vacation rentals throughout Siesta Key and the greater Sarasota area. We are searching for a highly motivated and talented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Sarasota team. This individual will share our passion for the hospitality industry and our commitment to offering personalized vacation experiences. We are hiring a Part-Time / Contracted Housekeeping Supervisor . This position offers 20–30 hours per week , with workloads varying based on the season and property occupancy.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the cleanliness and staging of Altez Vacations properties in compliance with our Altez Diamond Standards. Key responsibilities include :

Scheduling : Coordinate schedules for in-house housekeeping staff and contracted vendors to accommodate reservation timelines, including Post-Stay, Mid-Stay, Pre-Arrival, and Deep Cleanings.
Quality Control : Inspect properties for cleanliness and staging after guest departures and housekeeping services. Ensure consistent adherence to Altez Diamond Standards.
Cleaning Assistance : Assist with property cleanings as needed, including post-reservation, mid-stay, and bi-annual deep cleanings.
Staging : Arrange furnishings, guest supplies, and amenities to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience across all properties.
Training : Train staff, vendors, and contracted employees on Altez Diamond Standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
Coordination : Collaborate with staff, vendors, and contractors to maintain and operate properties efficiently.
Laundry Management : Oversee laundry processes, inventory, and operational effectiveness.
Inventory Management : Maintain and replenish supplies for both housekeeping and guest use.
Purchasing : Submit purchase orders and invoices necessary for operations.
Innovation : Contribute to the development of new practices, products, and procedures to enhance operations and guest experiences.

Skills and Competencies

Strong business judgment and decision-making skills.

Ability to prioritize, identify key initiatives, and execute them effectively.

Proactive, goal-oriented, and open to continuous learning to improve the Altez Vacations brand.

Proficient with computers and mobile apps.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to set clear directives, establish deadlines, and follow through effectively.

Quick problem-solving abilities and emotional intelligence to handle guest, employee, and owner concerns with a positive attitude.

A keen eye for housekeeping, staging, and design.

Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple priorities daily.

A true team player with a collaborative mindset in a family-operated business environment.

Qualification Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria :

Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Willingness to work extended hours in outdoor conditions, including sunny or damp environments.

Proficiency in English, with excellent spelling and grammar.

Basic computer skills.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to use company-provided transportation as required.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular physical activity, including standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Candidates must be able to :

Lift and move items weighing 50–75 pounds.

Perform tasks requiring close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Educational and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality certifications preferred.

Minimum of 5 years experience in a housekeeping role within the hospitality industry.

Experience in a hospitality or operational leadership role is highly desirable.

Compensation

22.50 per hour
