SAP Basis Developer
Location: Lisle, IL - Day1 onsite
As an SAP Basis Developer, you will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and enhancing Client’s SAP environments. You will be responsible for system administration, automation scripting, ABAP debugging, and cloud migrations, ensuring high performance and security across our SAP applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP System Management: Maintain and optimize SAP landscapes, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, and SAP BTP.
- Development & Automation:
- Develop custom scripts (Python, PowerShell, Shell) for automation of system monitoring, backups, and performance tuning.
- Enhance SAP Basis functions using ABAP, including background job automation and security enhancements.
- Upgrades & Migrations: Lead SAP version upgrades, database migrations (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server), and cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Integration Development: Configure and enhance SAP integrations via APIs, IDocs, and web services, working with SAP PI/PO and middleware tools.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize SAP system performance, memory management, and caching strategies.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, manage user roles, and ensure compliance with IT governance policies.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Automate SAP Basis processes using Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and other DevOps tools.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration and development.
- Hands-on experience with ABAP debugging, SAP UI5/Fiori customizations, and SAP Gateway/OData services.
- Proficiency in SAP HANA administration and cloud-based SAP solutions.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform for automation.
- Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) is a plus.
- SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Basis, HANA Administration) are preferred.
