The Industrial Carpenter / Scaffold Builder will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and maintaining temporary and permanent structures used throughout the chemical manufacturing plant. This role combines general carpentry tasks with scaffold building and installation, ensuring structures are safe, secure, and compliant with industry and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, repair, and maintain a variety of wooden and metal structures, including frameworks, platforms, staircases, and other support structures.
- Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding systems to provide secure access to elevated work areas and support maintenance, repair, and inspection activities.
- Inspect scaffolding and other structures for safety, stability, and compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in industrial carpentry or scaffolding is a plus.
- Proven experience as an industrial carpenter and/or scaffold builder in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of structural integrity, load-bearing, and construction safety standards.
