Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Controller to oversee and manage our company’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The Accounting Controller will play a key role in managing the financial health of the organization, ensuring accuracy in all financial data, and providing leadership to the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure internal controls are maintained to safeguard company assets and financial integrity.
- Collaborate with auditors to support annual audit processes, ensuring timely submission of reports and compliance.
- Monitor cash flow, analyze financial data, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance profitability.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Stay current with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes, ensuring the company’s practices are up-to-date and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
