Today we operate in Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami and Houston with our goal being to continue growing and accelerating towards a nationwide expansion.
About the role: The Operations Manager will play a key role in forming Alto’s strategy and helping solve some of Alto’s most pressing challenges. They will be an early member of a high-energy, tight-knit team with outsized impact on the organization. They will work cross-functionally with senior leaders across Field Operations, Product & Engineering, and the Commercial Organizations.
What you'll do:
- Run the Day-to-Day operations including but not limited to, people management, data management, and utilize fleet management tools.
- Develop people into future leaders.
- Lead projects and analysis to solve Alto’s most pertinent strategic challenges.
- Collaborate with functional leads in the organization on the design and implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Take risks - bring game changing ideas to the table and build things that haven't been done before; you will be one of the primary change agents at Alto.
- Facilitate a data-driven culture in Alto's operation and work closely with Strategy & Operations analysts for additional horsepower.
- Build functional expertise across the organization and experience high variation in your day-to-day responsibilities, from helping optimize and manage fleet operations to leaning in on driver support.
- Constantly identify opportunities in Alto's operation and help manage the department's roadmap.
- Work closely with all office personnel ensuring teams are well equipped and staffed properly. .
What you'll bring to the table
- 5 years of experience in operations / strategy, transportation & logistics, or related experience preferred
- 3 years of people leadership experience preferred
- Strong analytical skill set and experience working with data
- Excellent communication skills
- Builder mentality / product-oriented mindset
- Ability to work autonomously and intrinsic drive
- Bachelor's Degree Required
