Job Title : Business Application Developer
Department : Sales | Continuous Improvement Team
Reports To : Manager - Strategic Projects
Position Summary : The Business Application Developer is responsible for building, maintaining, and managing custom Business Apps, Business workflows, and related processes to support the company's operational and strategic goals. This individual will work closely with all departments to develop tailored solutions, provide documentation and training, and manage change processes effectively. The role requires technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Development & Maintenance :
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Business Apps and workflows to streamline business processes.
- Ensure all applications are scalable, secure, and align with company goals.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with existing systems where applicable.
Documentation & Training :
Develop comprehensive documentation, including technical instructions, user manuals, and code repositories.Provide training and guidance to end-users and departmental stakeholders on utilizing new applications and workflows.Collaboration & Communication :
Collaborate with departmental leaders and end-users to gather requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement.Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity during development.Change Management :
Implement change management strategies for deploying new applications and workflows.Monitor the performance and usage of solutions, making adjustments as necessary based on feedback and operational needs.Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting :
Conduct thorough testing of applications and workflows to ensure functionality and reliability.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize disruption.Continuous Improvement :
Stay current on advancements in Power Platform technologies and recommend enhancements to existing solutions.Actively seek feedback and analyze performance data to drive ongoing improvements.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR at least 5 years of direct experience in Power Apps and Power Automate development.Proven experience designing and implementing Power Platform solutions.Strong understanding of database management, data modeling, and system integrations.Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of technical expertise.Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint, Teams, and Excel.Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, or Python is a plus.Experience with Agile or similar project management methodologies is preferred.Key Competencies :
