Essential Job Functions:
- Perform daily rounds on all patients to ensure quality customer service and address any requirements not met.
- Develop individualized plans of care based on patient assessments, reflecting physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.
- Assess patients' conditions, set goals, and prescribe nursing actions to meet those goals and patients' needs.
- Identify early warning signs of change in patient condition and respond accordingly, including contacting responsible clinicians as needed.
- Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the multidisciplinary team and record accurately.
- Establish and maintain communication with patients and other significant individuals, utilizing educational opportunities as needed.
- Begins discharge planning, education, and counseling based on identified needs to optimize patient/family understanding.
- Assign or delegate nursing interventions to other qualified personnel within scope of practice, education, and experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet departmental/organizational needs.
Certifications:
- Registered Nurse license from North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or Compact State Agreement prior to start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA) within 90 days of start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of start date.
- Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) certification from American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, preferred.
Notes:
- Temporary RN license accepted prior to start date.
- ND RN Graduate Work Authorization considered prior to start date.
- Must hold an unencumbered nursing license prior to start date.
