Job Title: Pulmonary Function Technologist

Summary:
The Pulmonary Lab provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with various pulmonary disorders. As a Pulmonary Function Technologist, you will perform tests to diagnose respiratory diseases by measuring lung function and oxygen transfer into the blood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select and document evaluation methods that correlate to patient diagnosis, symptoms, and physician orders.
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic treatment, and assist physicians as needed.
- Identify changes or high-risk situations in patient condition and take appropriate actions.
- Communicate patient information to caregivers and provide education, family teaching, and support.
- Complete order entry, verification, and transcribe orders, process patient charges, and perform equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate patient/test scheduling and perform pain assessments.
Certifications:
- Respiratory Therapist - Certified | North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care (Prior to Start Date)
- Respiratory Therapist - Registered | North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care (Preferred)
- Pulmonary Function Technologist - Certified | North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care (Within 18 Months of Start Date)
- Pulmonary Function Technologist - Registry | North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care (Preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) (Within 90 Days of Start Date)
