Personal Assistant

Job Summary
As a Personal Assistant, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to individuals with disabilities. Your primary duty will be to assist clients with their daily activities and ensure their safety and well-being.

Duties
-Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

-Provide assistance with mobility, including transferring and positioning clients as needed.

-Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders.

-Engage clients in meaningful activities and social interactions.

-Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

-Monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior and report concerns to supervisor.

-Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.

-Follow care plans and instructions provided by supervisors.

-Document client activities and any significant observations or incidents.

-Drive clients to and from community locations as needed.

Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

3. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

4. Reliable transportation to travel to client locations.

5. Must have a current, unrestricted valid California Driver’s License

6. CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).

7. Must have reliable means of communication, i.e., home phone, cell phone.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Experience:

• Working with people with developmental disabilities: 1 year (Required)

Language:

• Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
