What You Will Do
As a requirement of employment, this role requires the employee to have current hospital access credentialing at the facilities in which Altus Spine does business.
- Must be available 24/7 for case coverage for all staff surgeons.
- Assumes role of “expert” in the configuration, availability, and use of all Altus surgical systems.
- Coordinate equipment needs for scheduled surgeries.
- Maintain documented training of relevant Altus Spine Procedures.
- Provides Operating Room staff coverage and training on use of surgical systems.
- Pursues hospital approvals and approval updates for new product offerings.
- Provides in-service training for Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department staff members.
- Creates basic product, sales and marketing presentations for in-service training meetings.
- Contacts potential users to identify orthopedic equipment needs, approval process and gatekeepers.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff such as CEOs, presidents and vice presidents. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
- Must work on-site of Altus Spine corporate office when not covering cases.
- Assists with new customer onboarding, port-trial case follow-ups, and additional account management activities to support business development and marketing teams while in office.
- Personally responsible to make sure that sets are available for every surgery.
- Delivers sets and performs set check-ins at all facilities and communicates set check in to operations at least 24 hours prior to surgery via email.
- Leads logistics process to ensure that all surgical systems are fully stocked, maintained and available for surgeries, performs set audits at a minimum if once per quarter or as requested by Altus.
- Follows Altus SOP for the recording and tracking of work hours.
- As a requirement of employment, this role requires the employee to possess a valid driver’s license.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned. Complies with all Company policies and procedures.
Who You Are
Must Haves
- Three (3) years of internal sales or customer interface work experience.
- Three (3) Surgical Support - Spine experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Pre-Medicine preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Project (or similar products) is required.
Preferred:
- Advanced knowledge of spine anatomy
- Background in medical device industry is a plus
