Description
CORE Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 pm - 4:30 am, Weekends & Overtime as required.
SUMMARY
Supervises Core Room production employees designated area and is responsible for the maintenance of good employee relations together with discipline, safety and general supervision of employees. Position is accountable for specified quantity, quality and cost of product within material specifications. Have authority to discipline and recommend hires/terminations.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Supervise direct reports
- Ability to coach and develop employees
- Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics
- Implement plant policies, procedures and practices
- Plan resource utilization
- Schedule overtime hours and manage assets as required by changing customer demand
- Solve operational problems
- Manages cost control and cost reduction efforts
- Administration duties
- Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the Manager
- When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High School degree required, Two-year degree preferred
- 3 – 5 years Core Room process experience
- 3 - 5 years Prior Supervisory experience
- Quality, TS-16949 related experience preferred
- Automotive manufacturing background preferred
- Lean Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
- PC Skills required
- Training
- General knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
- Process management experience
- Understand and meet Team KPIs
- Technical skills, general maintenance knowledge

- Good oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
