CNC Operator Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Router Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team, building high quality aluminum boats. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the router and ensuring the production of high-quality components. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The router operator will utilize various precision measuring instruments and adhere to strict quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.

Responsibilities

• Support in the daily operations of the CNC router machines, including programming and setting up equipment for production runs.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to machine operation or product quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience as a CNC router operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing facility is preferred.
• Familiarity with programming router machines is highly desirable.
• Experience operating forklifts is a plus
• Strong understanding of precision measuring instruments and their application in quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and schematics effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
• Experience handling aluminum a plus
• Experience operating a press break a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
