What we need:
We are looking for a Tool Designer Level II that will be responsible for all aspects of tooling design and production support throughout the forging facility. This position will support the entire product development at that designated manufacturing location.
Job Requirements:
Responsible for Designing tools and support product development.
Responsible for developing 3D forging models and 2D drawings for quotation
Validate designs using FEA simulation software
Will serve as a supporting role during tryout to validate new tools.
Embrace and promote the company’s culture beliefs as a means to achieve the Key Results.
Support other APP, Inc. facilities (including on-site).
May be required to work in other Engineering functions like Quality Engineering, Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
Work to support Sales and interact with customers design team
Interact on the shop floor throughout the Company to problem solve and optimize current processes and procedures.
Participate in improvement initiatives to achieve Key Results
Provide reports and updates to various levels of the organization to achieve desired results.
Utilize problem solving experiences and expertise using a variety of problem-solving methods.
Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Material Science/Aerospace Engineering or 5 years relevant work experience
Understanding of aerospace and commercial engineering drawings
Understand the fundamentals of GD&T
Design experience in 3D solid modeling, SolidWorks or CATIA V5 preferred
Compensation: $25.57 - $34.09 an hour. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Salary : $26 - $34
