District Manager Job Description
Position Overview
The District Manager will lead the store teams by coaching and building highly committed and performing individuals that will work to achieve results through excellent customer experiences. The District Manager will oversee career development by working directly with all store personnel to drive sales and increase profitability within their assigned district of stores.
Responsibilities
· Recruit and train managers that reflect AH’s needs and passion for the business
· Travel to stores weekly and work with and train the staff to ensure understanding of store expectations & policies/procedures.
· Store visits will be a combination of announced and un-announced visits with a plan of action for each store visit.
· Coach the Store Managers on standards for effective execution of workload planning, scheduling, and all operational standards.
· Instruct Store Managers on visual merchandising techniques specific to the company standards.
· Ensure that all stores within the district are visually exciting, clean, neat, and organized.
· Understand the customer demographic in each market.
· Take appropriate action to ensure each store within their district maximizes sales and maintains an accurate inventory.
· Stay aware of competitor practices and communicate related opportunities and challenges to the corporate staff.
· Communicate merchandise needs to the corporate office.
· Prepare and conduct annual performance reviews for Store Managers.
· Work closely with the HR Department on employee issues and concerns.
· Work closely with the Marketing Department on NIL partnerships, store events, & social media needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
· The District Manager should possess 3-5 years of leadership experience.
· Must be willing to travel 3-4 days weekly.
· Demonstrated success in building strong partnerships with all business stakeholders.
· Proven success managing budgets, prioritization, performance, & time sensitive information.
· Must be able to multitask & work with a sense of urgency.
· Must have strong written & verbal communication skills.
