This is a Part-Time GRANT FUNDED Technical, Clerical, Support and Maintenance position. Hours per work week are not to exceed 19 hours.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include working days, evenings and / or weekends.
May require travel to our main campus in Alvin and / or to various offsite locations, including local high schools in Alvin, Danbury, Manvel and Pearland.

Essential Duties
SUMMARY
Serves as a Clinical Teaching Assistant to faculty in the ACC Nursing Program. Works under the supervision of a Master's or Doctoral prepared nursing faculty member. Assists nursing faculty with the supervision of students during clinical, simulation, and skills lab learning experiences. Must be flexible with ability to work days, nights, and / or weekends with the understanding available hours will be based on the needs of the program, not to exceed 19 hours per week. Must also understand a minimum number of hours is not guaranteed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Functions in the role of clinical supervisor
- Responsible for supervision of students' skills performance, student evaluation and other aspects of student learning in the clinical setting
- Consults with nursing faculty members as needed
- Works with diverse group of nursing students in a clinical setting
- Responds to faculty / staff submitted Early Alerts and supports students in establishing goals to promote success
- Assists faculty and staff in identifying trends and researching best practices in student persistence and completion
- Other related duties may be assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role requires work in a clinical environment and must follow and adhere to all the health and safety requirements of the host clinical site as well as those required by Alvin Community College.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
