Job Type: Part-time (Grant Funded)
Hours: Up to 19 hours per week
Job Summary
This is a part-time grant funded technical, clerical, support and maintenance position. The job requires flexibility with the ability to work days, nights, and/or weekends based on the needs of the program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a clinical teaching assistant to faculty in the ACC Nursing Program.
- Works under the supervision of a Master's or Doctoral prepared nursing faculty member.
- Assists nursing faculty with the supervision of students during clinical, simulation, and skills lab learning experiences.
Work Environment:
This role requires work in a clinical environment and must follow and adhere to all the health and safety requirements of the host clinical site as well as those required by Alvin Community College.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science, Nursing
- One (1) year experience working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical hospital setting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Clinical expertise to function effectively and safely in the nursing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with other.
- Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with ACC guidelines.
